DESCRIPTION

의정부 기지촌에서 미군 위안부로 40년 넘게 살아온 박인순은 미군 기지 철거를 알리는 뉴스 소식에 마음이 불안하다. 어느 겨울 밤, 인순은 동료 기지촌 여성의 죽음을 목격하고 그 장례식에 참석한다. 그리고 이승을 헤매는 유령들을 찾으러 온 저승사자들에게 발견된다. 저승사자들은 유령들을 데려가기 위한 이야기를 만들어내고, 인순은 그들에게 맞서기 위해 자신만의 이야기를 펼치기 시작한다.

Park Insoon, who has been living in Uijeongbu Base Camp Village for more than 40 years as a comfort woman of US military soldiers, is uneasy hearing about the news that announces the removal of the US military base. One winter night, Insoon witnesses the death of a female peer in the base camp village, and attends the her funeral. And she is found by the grim reapers who came down to find the ghosts wandering in this world. The grim reapers create a story to take the ghosts along, and Insoon starts telling her own story to confront them.

영화는 기지촌 여성이었던 박인순의 자전적 역사쓰기에 관한 픽션이며 존재했으나 더이상 존재하지 않는 이야기에 관한 이야기이자 소멸에 저항하기 위한 복수극이다.

The film is a fiction about the autobiographical writing of Park Insoon, a woman in the miitary base village, and a storytelling about a story that existed but no longer exists, and a revenge drama to resist extinction.

2003년 미군 기지촌에서 살아온 박인순의 일상과 그녀의 미술치료 일기를 기록한 를 발표했다. 이후 기지촌에서 다큐멘터리 영화를 만들고 있으며 다양한 현장의 생애 구술사 채록 및 아카이브 작업을 해오고 있다.

In 2003, released a work recording a daily life of Park Insoon who has been living in the US military base camp village and her art therapy diary. Since then, he has been making documentary films in the base camp village and has been working on recording life histories of oral dictators and related archiving work in various fields.
