DESCRIPTION

한 여자가 뜨개질을 하며 길을 걷고 있다. 밤낮을 걸으며 뜨개질을 하던 여자에게 한 남자가 다가왔다가 떠나간다. 계속해서 뜨개질을 하며 걷는 여자.

There is a woman, walking down the street, knitting. She walks day and night. A man comes to her, and leaves her. And the woman keeps walking, knitting.

 

ARTIST’S STATEMENT 

살면서 이루고 싶은 꿈, 혹은 자아 실현을 뜨개질로 비유하여 영상을 만들었다. 여자가 걷는 것은 우리가 살아가는 인생이며 걸어가면서 만나는 사람들은 인생에서 만나게 되는 다양한 사람들의 축소판이다.

In this film, the act of knitting represents our attempts to achieve dreams or self-fulfillment. Her walking and knitting are the way we live and, the people she meets are a microcosm of various people we meet through our life.

김자영 1982년 출생. 부산대학교 고고학과를 졸업했다. <스티치>는 <망아-ecstasy>(2008), <나비꿈>(2009), <Décadence>(2011), <필요하신 분 가져가세요>(2011)에 이은 다섯 번째 연출작이다.

KIM Ja-young KIM was born in 1982, and she studied archaeology at the Busan National University. Following her past films such as Ecstasy (2008), Butterfly Dream (2009), Décadence (2011), Take If You Need, Stitch is her fifth and most recent film.
