DESCRIPTION
10살짜리 소년 제튼이 아파트의 4층 발코니 끝자락에 아슬아슬하게 걸쳐져 있는 채로 발견된다. 이를 발견한 이웃들 및 지나가는 사람들이 경찰과 소방서에 전화해 도움을 요청하지만 상황은 점점 걷잡을 수 없이 커지게 되고… 코소보 사태 이후 15년이 지난 지금, 코소보의 현재.
Kosovo nowadays. Jeton, a 10-year-old boy is sitting on the edge of a balcony on the 4th floor. Neighbors and passers-by, terrified by this situation, call the police and firefighters for help. But the situation quickly becomes unmanageable.
ARTIST’S STATEMENT
발코니는 코소보상을 수상한 화가, 극작가, 영화감독인 Lendita Zeqiraj의 롱 테이크 영화이다. 발코니는 20개의 우수한 시나리오 중 최고로 뽑혔고 Kosova 영화예술센터의 경제적 지원을 받았다.
이 영화는 전쟁으로부터 14년 후, 국제적 감시 하에 Kosovar의 현 사회와 발전에 대한 풍자를 반영하고 있다. 우스꽝스러운 상황으로 빠르게 벗어나고 있는 발칸 사회의 사고방식을 폭로하는 영화예술이다.
순서는 해가 저물 때 시작하여 땅거미가 질 즈음에 종료되며 , 설득력 있는 대화와 부조리한 상황에 대한 몰입도를 강화시키는 은유적인 영상표현은 동시에 어린이 노동착취, 실업, 무능함, 무지를 특징으로 오늘날 Kosovo 사회의 사고방식과 현실을 드러내고 있다.
BALCONY is a long-shot film by Lendita Zeqiraj, awarded Kosovar painter, screenwriter and film director. BALCONY was selected as one of the best among twenty-competitive scenarios and financially supported by Kosova Cinematography Center.
The film is a satiric reflection on today’s Kosovar society and its development, 14 years after the war - under the international observation. A cinematographic observation that exposes the authentic mindset of the Balkan society that quickly deviates into a ridiculous situation.
Sequence begins in the sunset and ends at twilight, as a metaphorical cinematic expression that reinforces immersion of a convincing dialogue and situation into a kind of absurdity, and same time revealing the mentality and reality everyday life in today’s Kosovo society, featuring child labor, unemployment, incompetence and ignorance.

렌디타 제키라지 Lendita Zeqiraj 렌디타 제키라지는 1972년생으로 코소보 프리슈티나에서 태어났다. 프리슈티나에서 예술을 공부했으며 프랑스 파리에서 영화미학을 공부하였다. 그녀는 주로 다큐멘터리와 실험영화, 단편영화를 작업하며, 오버하우젠, 브래드포드, 뉴욕, 바르셀로나, 카이로 등 전세계 국제영화제에서의 상영과 수상 경험이 있다. |
