뉴욕을 오가며 영화 감독, 작가, 편집자로 활동하고 있다. 그녀의 작품들은 뉴욕 영화제, 영국 영화협회, 런던 자연사 박물관, 로테르담 영화제, 에딘버러 국제영화제 등에서 상영되었다. 분자생물학을 전공했고 2002년부터 자연사 잡지 직원으로 일했으며 콜로라도 볼더 대학에서 영화 연구와 매체 비평을 가르치고 있다.

Erin Espelie is a filmmaker, writer, and editor, living and working in Colorado's Four Mile Canyon and New York City. Espelie's films have shown at the New York Film Festival, the British Film Institute, the Natural History Museum of London, the Rotterdam International Film Festival, the Edinburgh International Film Festival, the Full Frame Documentary Festival, and more. With a degree in molecular biology, she has been on the staff of Natural History magazine since 2002 and also teaches at the University of Colorado Boulder in Film Studies and Critical Media Practices.
