DESCRIPTION

'컵밥'은 스물을 갓 넘은 사람들이 사회에 진입하기 위해 한 도시에 모이게 된 사연들을 담은 영상이다. 조르주 페렉의 소설 '사물들'에서 영감을 받아 제작하게 되었다.

'Cup Rice' is a story of young South Korean who moved to the town Noryangjin to begin their careers. It is inspired by the book 'Things' by Georges Perec.

임민영

임민영은 1987년 서울에서 태어나고 자랐다. 중앙대학교 사진학과를 졸업하고 교육 방송국에서 일하다가 현재는 작가, 기획자, 예술 강사로 활동 중이다. 다양한 방식으로 도시를 멈추게 하는 작업을 진행 중이다. 2010 미래작가상, 2011 서울포토페스티벌, 2013 오프앤프리 국제확장영화예술제 등에서 작품을 선보여왔고, 2014 ARKO 공공미술 R&D 프로젝트를 통해 다큐멘터리 <컵 밥>을 제작하게 되었다.

 

IM Minyung 

Minyung Im was born in Seoul in 1987. After her first study of photography in Chung-ang University, she worked in Educational Broadcasting System. Now she works as an independent artist, curator, and art educator. Her works have been featured in Mirae Award(2010), Seoul Photo Festival(2011), Off and Free International Expanded Cinema and Art Festival(2013). <Cup Rice> was produced as a result of the research program, ARKO Public Art R&D Project(2014).
