PROGRAM NOTE

뮤지엄703 행성에는 703개의 박물관이 있으며 대부분의 행성인들은 박물관과 관련된 일을 한다. 여기저기서 다양한 퍼포먼스와 전시가 이어지는 이 행성에서는 작가의 또 다른 창조물인 아가르 519, 마포 518 등의 행성들도 보인다.

빛 길은 이 가상의 행성을 재현하는 방법의 하나로 ‘순간적 콜라주’를 이용한다. ‘순간적 콜라주’는 작가가 개발한 용어인데 예를 들어 어느 풍경을 부분적으로 촬영한 정지화상들을 스스로 인식해 즉석에서 조합해 완성하는 모바일 애플리케이션을 이용한다. 우리는 흔히 디지털이 정확하다고 생각하지만 ‘순간적 콜라주’에는 미세한 오류들이 많다. 따라서 이 디지털소프트웨어가 보여주는 풍경은 실제이지만 실제가 아니다. 우리 주변의 풍경으로 새로운 풍경을 창조해낸 작가는 관람자들이 우리의 일상적 풍경을 새롭게 느끼는 경험을 하기를 바란다. 이 작품 역시 올해 네마프 전시제를 위해 미디어극장 아이공의 커미션으로 제작되었다. The planet Museum 703 has 703 museums and most inhabitants work in the museum sector. A variety of performances and exhibitions take place and Agare 519 and Mapo 518, the other creatures by the artist, are visible everywhere on the planet.

Bkil employs ‘Le Collage Momentané’ to represent this fictional planet. It uses a mobile application where one takes a series of still images of different parts of a whole scene, immediately recognises and then assembles them in the right position to complete the whole. The artist devised the term ‘Le Collage Momentané’. Digital tech is thought to be perfect but a number of subtle errors are found in this digital collage. The scene in the collage is, therefore real but not real. The artwork, which is a combination of different day-to-day scenes on earth but appears to be a different planet, intends to offer the viewers a chance to renew how they feel about their everyday lives. 빛 길 2004년 경주대학교에서 사진영상과를 졸업한 후 일본으로 건너가 요한와세다 외국어학교에서 일본어를 공부했다. 낭시 2대학에서 프랑스어를, 파리8대학에서 영화연출을 공부했다. 가장 최근에는 파리 국제음악원에서 작곡과를 졸업했다. 다감각예술가로써 다방면의 예술활동을 하고 있으며, 현재는 순간적 콜라주 시리즈와 행성 이야기를 만들어 내고 있다.

Bkil J Beomyoun After completing his BA in Photography and Image at Gyeongju University in 2004, Bkil went to Japan to learn Japanese at Yohan Waseda Foreign Language School. He studied French language at Université Nancy 2 and Film Making at Université Paris 8 in France. He also studied Composition at the Conservatoire International de Musique de Paris. He defines himself as a multisensory artist, actively working in various arenas of arts. His current work focuses on a series of ‘Le Collage Momentané’ and creating stories around new planets which are also his creation.
