DESCRIPTION
1999년 만들었던 <조용한 하루>는 한 소녀의 삶과 죽음 사이에서 흔들리는 심리상태를 묘사한 작품이다. 3년이 흐르고 냉정하게 작품을 바라보면서 생각했다: "만약 내가 만들려는 이야기가 <조용한 하루>라는 영화를 만드는 소녀에 대한 것이었다면 어땠을까?" (이토 타카시).
The piece I made in 1999, A SILENT DAY, depicts a girl’s uneasy state of mind as it wavers between life and death. This piece reflects my own unstable spiritual state at the time. Three years have passed, and as I looked at this work with calm, I came up with an idea: “What if I make a story of a girl who is trying to make a film, A Silent Day?” (Takashi Ito)

이토 타카시 1956년 후쿠오카 출생. 아직 큐슈예술공과대학의 재학생이던 1981년, 마츠모토 토시오의 수업에서 실험 영화 ‘스페이시(SPACY)’를 선보이면서 두각을 나타냈다. 하이퍼-리얼리즘적인 시각 세계, 인간 내면에 도사리는 광기, 모순 등을 추구한다. 최근에는 댄서들과의 협업에 적극적으로 참여하고 있다. 주요 작품으로는 <구역>(ZONE, 1995), <조용한 나날>(A Silent Day, 2002), <달콤한 인생<( Sweet Life, 2010) 등이 있다. |
Takashi Ito Born in Fukuoka in 1956. While still a student at the Kyushu Institute of Design he came to prominence overnight after presenting his experimental film “SPACY” (81) in Toshio Matsumoto’s seminar. Pursues hyper-realistic visual worlds, the madness that lurks in human beings, and absurdity. In recent years has been actively engaging in collaborations with dancers. “ZONE” (95), “A Silent Day” (02), “Sweet Life” (10), etc. |
