DESCRIPTION

숲을 지나는 뒤틀린 산책. 움직이는 스틸 사진은 사람의 눈에 보이지 않았을 숲길의 움직임과 빛을 드러낸다. 작가는 ‘스캐너-카메라’를 만들었는데, 이것은 초자연적인 방식으로 인간의 시야를 근적외선으로 확장시킨다.

A warped stroll through a forest. Animated still photographs reveal movement and light on the forest paths that are otherwise invisible to the human eye. Van Bakel made a ‘scanner-camera’ that extends human vision to near-infrared light in an otherworldly way.

미키엘 반 바켈은 영상과 비디오를 비롯하여 조각품(동, 강철, 플라스틱)과 인터랙티브 멀티미디어 설치작품을 만든다. 각종 페스티벌, 극장, 갤러리, 박물관을 통해 비디오와 설치작품들을 국제적으로 선보이고 있다.
