DESCRIPTION

한국 제주의 해녀들과 프랑스 피레네 산맥의 수공 염소치즈 농가의 부부를 찾아간다. 이 두 공간은 프랑스와 한국, 산과 바다라는 이질성을 갖지만, 극도의 신체적 노동을 요한다는 점, 그리고 그것이 사라져가는 몸, 도구, 공간이라는 점에서 어떤 공통분모를 갖는다.

Resonances is an invitation to discover Korea and France through the ritual of two atypical farmers. One is a woman diver or 'Haenyeo' from the island of Jeju. The other is a shepherdess making goat cheese in a hamlet in the Pyrenees. They reveal themselves through their relationship to the animal world, earth, air and the liquid element. Rivers of clouds winding through highlands echo to the surf of the sea on volcanic rocks. The ghostly mist absorbs the animals and their owners, while the black silhouettes of divers disappear in the water. Thus the two worlds resonate.

장 줄리아 푸스 

장줄리앙 푸스는 애니메이션과 영상작업을 넘나드는 프랑스 감독 이다. 중국 무한 에서 태어난 그는 보르도, 프랑스, 홍콩을 오가며 그의 유년기 를 보냈다. 그의 단편들에는 중국과 프랑스의 문화가 조화를 이루고 있으며 초현실적이고 관능적이며 엉뚱한 유머가 가득하다 . 그의 작품은 로테르담 영화제를 포함한 여러 국제영화제에서 7 번 수상 하고 전세계 70 개 이상의 영화제에서 상영되었으며 그는 샤넬, 레노보, 밀레, 스페인 관광청 등의 광고와 중국 우시 역사박물관의 인터렉티브 영상을 감독해왔다. 현재 그는 서울에서 머무르며 국민대학교에서 학생들을 가르치고 있으며 그의 작업은 서울과 홍콩등지에서 개인전 및 그룹전으로 관객들과 만나고 있다.

 Jean-Julien POUS

Jean-Julien Pous is a French filmmaker. He was trained in animation in Supinfocom and Vancouver Film School, before turning to live-action. His work reflects his profound attachment to French, Chinese and Korean cultures. It has been described as poetic, existentialist, sensual and feminine. His shorts and commissioned films have been awarded 8 times, among those the Red Dot Design Award and the Rotterdam Film Festival "Best New Arrival". He directed commercials and event films for Chanel, Lenovo, Haier, Millet, the Spanish Tourism Board and the Museum of History of Wuxi. He now lives in Seoul, giving 3d animation lectures at Kookmin University. His work is exhibited in solo and group exhibitions in Seoul and Hong Kong. He is also a permanent member of the CFAF (Association d'Études de la Culture Française et des Arts en France).
