DESCRIPTION
중요무형문화재 27호 승무예능보유자 그리고 중요무형문화재 97호 살풀이춤예능보유자. 이는 우봉 이매방의 또 다른 이름들이다. 형태가 없는, 누군가를 통해서 발현될 수밖에 없는 무형의 문화를 보존한다는 것은- 전수를 제외하고- 이와 같은 명명과 매체를 통한 기록에 의존한다. 이 영화는 실제의 춤을 제외한 나머지 자료들과 새로이 기록되는 영상을 통해 무형 유산의 아카이빙에 대해 고찰한다.
Holder of Important Intangible Cultural Heritage No. 27: Seungmu(Buddhist Dance) and No, 97: Salpurichum. These are some of the names that describe Woobong Lee Mae Bang. Preserving intangible culture that has no form and can only be expressed by a person—preservation other than transmission—depends on how we name and record them. The film is a deliberation on archiving intangible culture of dance through existing and newly recorded video.

콜렉티브 워크 콜렉티브 워크는 시각예술작가들로 구성된 프로젝트 그룹이다. 이번 비디오 작품은 조인한, 차미혜, 이장욱,전성권이 참여한 공동작업 프로젝트다. 다큐멘터리, 실험영화, 미디어아트 영역에서 활동하는 콜렉티브 워크는 아카이브 푸티지, 퍼포먼스, 텍스트, 필름과 비디오 매체를 활용한 도큐멘트 작업에 대한 관심을 바탕으로 활동하고 있다. 첫번째 공동작업인 싱글채널비디오 <도큐멘트70: 속물에 대한 6가지 테제>는 국립현대미술관, 서울국제뉴미디어페스티벌, 서울독립영화제에서 상영하였으며, 2016년 하반기 창동 레지던시에서 리서치 작업을 진행하였다. |
Collective Work The Collective Work is an artists’project group working across the full range of creative documentary, experimental film, installation and performance. This video work is a collaboration project participated by Inhan Cho, Mihye Cha, Jangwook Lee and Sung Kwon Jeon. The activities of this project group focus on‘document’with asking questions in diverse areas of archive footage, performance, text, film and video practice and research. Their first ongoing project <Document 70: 6 theses against Snobs> was screened at “Asian Film & Video Art Forum” in MMCA, Korea and Seoul International New Media Festival, Seoul Independent Film Festival. The Collective Work was selected as a Project Team for the second half of 2016 and supported by MMCA Residency Changdong. |
