DESCRIPTION
부산은 한국전쟁 당시 1000일동안의 수도였고 많은 피난민이 몰려들었던 시기가 있었다. 그때는 피난민들의 주거지가 없어서 산을 깎아 위쪽으로 위쪽으로 집을 지어 살게 되었고 현재, 부산에서 흔히 볼 수 있는 산복도로의 형태가 되었다. 그렇게 형성 되어 진 마을들은 이제 흉물의 대상이 되었고 건축업자들의 탐욕의 대상이 되었다.
<재개발이라는 이름으로>.....
자신이 원하지도 않는 상황에서 살아온 터전을 한 번에 잃어버려야 하는 지역주민들의 애환에 대한 책임은 누구의 몫인가?
Busan was the capital of Korea for about a thousand days during the Korean war, and soon became crowded with many refugees seeking shelter. Since there wasn’t enough housing to accommodate all the refugees, mountains were carved in order to build more houses on top of the mountains, creating mountainside roads that are commonly seen in Busan today. As time passed by, these neighborhoods were viewed to be hideous, and were subject to the construction industry’s greed.

허병찬 허병찬 감독은 대학에서 서양화를 전공하였고, 영상설치, 애니메이션 분야를 중심으로 작품 활동을 하였다. 일본에서의 유학시절에는 <영상과 사진, 영상기법과 몽타주>등을 중심으로 연구하였으며 귀국 후에는 전업작가로서, 페인팅과 영상작업 등 다양한 매체로 작품 활동을 하고 있다.

Director Huh majored in Western painting and focused mainly on motion graphic installation and animation. During his study abroad in Japan, Dr. Huh focused on researches such as <Motion graphics and Images, and Imaging Modality>. Upon his return to Korea, he has pursued on becoming a full-time artist, showcasing his artworks through a variety of platforms such as painting and motion graphics. <Profile of past exhibitions> (전시약력) 10 solo exhibitions, 3 double exhibitions, and 40+ group exhibitions.
