DESCRIPTION
이 작품에서 니나 유엔은 화면의 한 쪽에서는 이야기를 들려주고, 다른 한 쪽에서는 그 이야기 대로 행동한다. 영화는 마치 두 개의 전혀 다른 공간이 이어진 것처럼 서로를 연결시키고 넘나든다.
In Narcissus, Nina Yuen tells the story in one part of the frame and lives the story in the other part of the frame. Using a simple seam of layered video, she doubles her image to merge an impossible gap between the thing that really happens and the imperfect retelling of the thing. The film leaps, bridging two totally different spaces as if they were contiguous.

니나 유엔 니나 유엔은 하버드 대학에서 학사를, 바드 칼리지에서 순수미술 석사를 수료했고, 2010년에 암스테르담의 리악시 아카데미에서 레지던시를 마쳤다. 그녀는 네덜란드 암스테르담의The eye, 뉴욕 Jane Lombard 프로젝트, 오슬로 스터네센 박물관, 서울국제뉴미디어 페스티벌, 모스크바의 the International Biennale for Young Art, 로테르담 영화제등 수많은 그룹 전시회와 상영회에 참가했다. |
