DESCRIPTION
이 영화는 유년 세계의 소품들을 선보이는데, 이는 유년시절의 상상력과 천진난만함에 대한 찬가라 할 만하다. 어린아이들의 장난감과 옷이 살아 움직이면서 기묘한 놀이와 장난스러우면서도 파괴적인 의식을 시작하는데, 어린 아이들 특유의 창의적이고, 폭력적이며, 잔인한 게임들을 연상케 한다.
The film stages the props of the child's universe. It can be perceived as a hymn to childhood, to its power of imagination, to its joyous insolence. Toys, children´s clothing come to life and they start strange games and rituals ludic and destructive, which recall children´s inventive, violent and cruel games.

얀 슈반크마예르 얀 슈반크마예르는 1934년 9월 4일 체코 프라하에서 출생했다. 프라하 공예 기술학교에서 무대디자인을 전공했고, 프라하 공연예술아카데미에서 인형극 연출과 무대 디자인을 공부했다. 1964년 <마지막 속삭임(The Last Trick)>을 시작으로 본격적인 애니메이션 작품 활동을 시작했다. 얀 슈반크마예르의 작품 특징은 블랙 유머와 장난기 넘치는 표현이 어우러진다는 점이다. 이러한 특징은 작품 속에서 얀 슈반크마예르만의 독창성과 날카로운 비판적 지성을 돋보이게 한다. 그의 작품 - 영화, 영상 글- 대부분은 체코슬로바키아 초현실주의자 단체의 활동과 연관되어 있다. |
Jan Švankmajer JAN ŠVANKMAJER was born on September 4, 1934 in Prague. His studied at the College of Applied Arts in Prague in the Stage Design Department and at the Prague Academy of Performing Arts in the Department of Puppetry(directing and stage design). A considerable part of the imaginative strength of Jan Švankmajer consists of blasphemous black humour and a playful viewpoint which, together with extra ordinary sensibility and a penetrating critical intellect, form the determining facets of his creative personality. His work, whether film, visual, or literary, is connected with the collective activities of the Czechoslovak Surrealist group. |
