DESCRIPTION
가시화되지 않는 장애와 낙인찍힌 이름으로 인하여 드러낼 수 없는 몸에 대한 관심을 갖고 작업을 이어오며, 그 과정에서 기록을 위해 찍지만 사용될 수 없는 초상과 목소리를 편집하는 방식에 대한 고민으로 <몸과 말의 경계에서>를 만들었다. 영상은 신체를 포획하는 디지털 기술(영상 녹화와 음성 녹음)을 공간에 재생하는 영사 방식(프로젝션)의 원리를 비판적으로 활용하며 '바로 보기'에 저항한다.
With a continued interest in bodies that remain hidden due to invisible disabilities and stigmatized names, Between Word and Body explores how to position portraits and voices that are recorded for documentation yet rendered unusable. The film critically engages with the mechanics of projection—the spatial reproduction of digital technologies that capture the body, such as video and voice recording—and resists the act of “right seeing.”

양은경YANG Eunkyung
1989년 출생. 양은경은 극영화와 다큐멘터리를 만든다. 가시화되지 않는 장애와 낙인찍힌 이름으로 인하여 드러낼 수 없는 몸에 대한 관심을 갖고 작업을 이어오고 있다. 그 과정에서 필연적으로 담을 수밖에 없는(제외될 수밖에 없는) 초상과 목소리를 편집하는 방식에 대해 고민하고 있다. 주요 개인전으로는 《사라지는 말, 만져지는 몸》(2024), 《도채비 가로지르기》(2022)가 있으며, 현재 제작중인 다큐멘터리 〈이름의 자리〉로 14회 DMZ국제다큐멘터리영화제 K-Doc Short Pitch에서 우수상을 수상했다. 2024년 인천아트플랫폼 레지던시 입주작가로 활동하고 있다.
I heard a Dokkabie's ghost story about a specter engaging in conversation with a passerby on the road. It got me thinking about the first encounter with friends who approached and spoke to me, even when I didn't know who I was. Thus, I realized that I had responded to the extended greeting and opened the door of my heart. Inspired by that moment when the door of the heart opened, I wanted to create a scenario where two people meet and gaze into each other's eyes.
