  치장인Chi Jang Yin

  치장인 殷子静 (Chi Jang Yin)은 미디어 및 영화 연구를 기반으로 활동하는 실험 영화 감독이다. 그녀의 작업은 역사 속에서 타인의 시야에 포착되지 않은 결락과 공백을 탐색하며, 사진과 퍼포먼스 아트에 대한 깊은 관심을 바탕으로 한다.
  
  개인의 삶이 정치적·사회경제적 구조와 교차할 때 발생하는 보이지 않는 영향력에 대한 비평적 시선을 담고 있는 그녀의 작품들은, 시네마 베리떼(Cinéma Vérité), 관찰 다큐멘터리, 민족지학적 영화 연구 등의 형식을 넘나들며 독창적인 형식미를 보여준다. 이처럼 장르적 실험성과 서사적 깊이를 아우르는 작업들은 수많은 국제 전시, 영화제, 갤러리에서 상영 및 수상하며 주목받아 왔다. 치장인은 시카고 예술대학(School of the Art Institute of Chicago)에서 학사와 석사 학위를 취득했으며,
  현재는 드폴 대학교(DePaul University) 영화예술학부(School of Cinematic Arts)에서 교수로 재직 중이다.

  An experimental filmmaker with expertise in media and cinema studies, Chi Jang Yin's work investigates the missing gaps in history that are invisible to others.
  
  Her work often imbues her interest in photography and performance art and comments on the effect of individuals intertwining with political and socioeconomic infrastructure. Yin’s experimental films, Cinéma Vérité, observational documentary, and ethnographic film studies inform a diverse body of award-winning work recognized internationally in galleries, exhibitions, and film festivals. She received her BA and MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Yin teaches at the School of Cinematic Arts at DePaul University.
