유령의 풍경은 2080년에 거주하는 가상의 화자가 2022년에 속한 여러 사람의 목소리를 듣는 작품이다. 자원이 제한된 유리돔 세계에 사는 디스토피아적 미래의 허구적 화자가 듣는 2022년의 목소리를 통해 그 의미를 방향전환하고자 했다. 불가능한 미래의 풍경을 현재에서 포착하기 위해, 현재의 이미지에서 이중인화 된 미래를 보아(상상해)야 했다. 그것은 메마른 땅이고, 사막화 된 바다이며, 죽어가는 존재들이고, 3D 이미지이며, 게다가 이미 현재에 어딘가 갇혀있는 존재들이라고 생각한다. 이런 대상들이 기록된 이미지의 중첩은 상호 관계를 맺으며 현재에서 미래를 찾아보고자 시도한다. 또한, 현재에는 물질적 신체로 살아 숨쉬지만, 특정 미래의 관점에서 신체없는 유령으로 배회할지도 모를 목소리와 이미지의 대상. 그들 유령의 풍경을 상상하는 일이 이 작업과 맥을 같이 한다고 생각한다.

The haunted landscapes is a work of hearing the voices of multiple people belonging to the year 2022 through a virtual narrator residing in the year 2080. August 2080, South Korea, 47 degrees Celsius, 86 consecutive days of heat warning, depicts humankind living in a glass dome with limited resources. The voice of 2022, revealed as a documentary, talks about 'beautiful birdsong, sublime nature, and friendly sea'. The voice of the interview based on multiple experiences changes its meaning due to a fictional voice from a dystopian future. In order to capture the landscape of an impossible future in the present, I had to see (imagine) the superimposed future in the present image. I think it is a dry land, a deserted sea, dying beings, 3D images, and beings already trapped somewhere in the present. The overlapping of images recorded with these objects forms a mutual relationship and attempts to find the future in the present. Also, objects of voices and images that currently live and breathe as material bodies, but may roam as bodiless ghosts from a certain future perspective. I think imagining the landscape of their ghosts is in line with this work.
