DESCRIPTION
이 애니메이션의 그림은 눈을 가린 채 그린 그림들이다. 이런 도전은 이념적 확실성에 직면한 작가의 딜레마를 반영한 것이다. 맞춤형 이미지와 의견이 구성되는 소통의 세계에서 과연 본질을 어떻게 구분할 수 있을까? 도대체 뭘 보는 걸까? 외형과 그들의 내면은 과연 일치할까?
The drawings of this film were made blindfolded, using only tactile cues. This challenge reflects the writer’s dilemmas facing ideological certainties. In a world of communication, where custom images and opinions are constructed, how can one discern the essential? What is seeing anyway? Appearances, do they correspond to reality?

조르주 시피아노스Georges SIFIANOS
그리스 태생의 조르주 시피아노스 박사는 애니메이션 명예 교수이다. 저서로 ‘애니메이션 영화의 미학’(SAS McLaren 어워드, 2014)이 있다. 그의 최근 연구는 파르테논 신전의 프리즈에서 발견되는 애니메이션 형태에 초점을 맞추고 있다. 제작한 영화로 애니메이션 ‘미소’, ‘도시의 향기’, ‘투투’, ‘에고’, ‘눈먼 작가’, 다큐멘터리 ‘석유 화학, 사막의 대성당’이 있다.
Georges Sifianos PhD, born in Greece, is professor emeritus of animation. Book: Aesthetics of Animated Cinema, (SAS McLaren award, 2014).
