ARTIST'S NOTE
나는 스페인과 프랑스 국경 사이에 위치한 작은 마을에 살고 있다. 아프리카에서 온 이민자들이 통과하는 곳이다. 지중해에서 살아남은 많은 사람들이 이 국경을 가르는 '비다소아' 강을 건너다 죽는다. 그들과 이야기를 나누고 그들의 꿈을 듣고 나니 클린 이스트우어가 <용서받지 못한 자>에서 말한 '누군가를 죽이면 그가 가진 모든 것을 빼앗는 것뿐만 아니라 그가 가질 수 있는 것까지 빼앗는 것'이라는 말이 떠올랐다.
I live in a small town located between the border of Spain and France. A place of passage for emigrants coming from Africa. Many of those who have survived the Mediterranean die crossing the «Bidaasoa» River that separates this border. After talking to them and listening to their dreams, I think about what Clin Eastwoor said in Unforgiven: when you kill someone, you not only take away everything they have, but also what they could have”.

10살인 루브나는 전쟁을 피해 파리로 왔다. 그녀는 부모님과 함께 지중해를 건너 에펠탑 위를 날아다니는 고래를 볼 수 있는 마음을 부모님에게 이야기한다.
LUBNA (10) came to Paris fleeing the war. She addresses her parents with her thoughts, wishing that together they would cross the Mediterranean so that they could see whales flying over the Eiffel Tower.

에카인 이리고이엔EKAIN IRIGOEIN
(1981, 산 세바스티안). 인문학과 커뮤니케이션 학사. 2016년에는 훌리오 메뎀, 그라시아 케레헤타, 이마놀 우리베, 아시에르 알투나, 보르하 코베가 등과 함께 칼레베지아크의 작가 겸 감독 중 한 명이었다. 2020년에는 산세바스티안 국제 영화제에서 장편 영화 'SONS OF GOD'을, 2023년에는 미로쿠타나가 제작한 단편 영화 '유로파'를 개봉했다.
1981 (San Sebastian). Bachelor of Humanities and Communication. In 2016 he was one of the writers and directors of KALEBEGIAK, along with Julio Medem, Gracia Querejeta, Imanol Uribe, Asier Altuna or Borja Cobeaga. In 2020 he premiered at the San Sebastian International Film Festival the feature film SONS OF GOD and in 2023 he will premiere the short film EUROPA produced by Mirokutana.
