<심층>은 영국 셰필드의 파크힐 주거 단지를 통해 건축, 건강, 커뮤니티 간의 연관성을 탐구한다. 1961년에 설계된 이 단지는 영국에서 가장 급진적이고 중요한 전후 주택 프로젝트 중 하나로 사회적 및 주거용 주택을 혁신한 시대를 증언하는 작품이다. 스캐닝, 공간 분석 기법, 파크힐의 아카이브 데이터를 사용하여, 영화는 건물과 신체가 관료적 구조와 분배된 사회적 경험을 통해 어떻게 감시되는지를 조사한다. 또한, 건물의 독특하게 확장된 구조와 과학적으로 측정된 신체 사이의 유사점을 도출해 나가며, 물질적 구조가 측정하고 분석되는 방식을 고찰한다. 영화는 좋거나 혹은 나쁜 기계로서의 건물과 신체가 어떻게 지도화되고, 아카이브화되며, 데이터로 변환되는지를 통해 공공복지, 주택 및 웰빙에 대한 우리의 불안하고도 불안정한 관계를 보여주는데 이른다.

<Deep Structure> explores the links between architecture, health, and community wellbeing through the lens of Sheffield’s Park Hill estate. Designed in 1961, this estate is one of the UK's most radical and significant post-war housing projects, and a testimonial to an era that revolutionised social and residential housing. Using scanning, spatial analysis techniques, and archival data on Park Hill, the film examines how buildings and bodies are surveilled through official-bureaucratic structures and shared social experiences. It draws parallels between the sprawling structure of the building and the scientifically measured body, considering how material structures are measured and analyzed. The film investigates how buildings and bodies are mapped, archived, and transformed into data, reflecting on our uneasy and increasingly precarious relationship to public welfare, housing, and wellbeing.
