  이지 리 (Izzy Lee, 1996, KR)는 비디오, 조각, 세트 디자인, 설치 미술 등 다양한 매체를 활용하여 작업하는 시각 예술가다. 작가는 ‘여성 외계인’ 캐릭터들을 창조하며, 사회의 주변부에 존재하고 상상 속 공간에서 끊임없이 변화하는 존재들을 만들어낸다. 페미니즘 SF, 타자성, 심리 지리학을 탐구하며, 이러한 유동적이고 변형되는 인물들이 글리치(glitch)같은 환경 속 에서 방향을 잃고 헤쳐 나가는 이야기를 엮는다. 캐릭터들은 현실과 허구가 뒤섞이는 경계에 거주하며, 이주, 정체성, 외부 환경과 심리적 긴장감을 탐구한다. 게릿 리트펠트 아카데미(Gerrit Rietveld Academie) VAV 무빙 이미지(VAV Moving Image) 학과를 졸업했으며, 현재 암스테르담과 서울을 기반으로 활동한다. 두 도시를 중심으로 새로운 가능성이 떠오르는 경계를 탐구하는 여정을 이어가고 있다.

  Izzy Lee (b.1996, KR) is a visual artist working across video, sculpture, and installation. At the heart of her practice are the “female alien” characters. She creates beings that exist on the fringes of society, constantly evolving within imagined spaces. Rooted in feminist science fiction and themes of otherness, her art explores displacement, identity, and the interplay between external environments and internal experience. Her glitch-like spaces blur the boundaries between reality and fiction, offering a lens into liminal zones. Her fluid and constantly shifting characters traverse these landscapes, while challenging norms and reflecting on the psychogeographical tension between belonging and estrangement. A recent graduate of the VAV-Moving Image department at Gerrit Rietveld Academie, she is based between Amsterdam (NL) and Seoul (KR). Her work is an ongoing journey into speculative futures and alternate realities.
