ARTIST'S NOTE

이것은 혹독한 겨울 동안 가축을 돌보며 살아남는 것 외에는 아무것도 모르는 한 남자의 이야기이다. 이것은 오래된 전설을 잊은 이들에게 자연이 다시 살아나 복수하는 이야기이다.
그 전설들은 어두운 존재들에 대해 경고하고 있었다. 감독으로서 우리는 남아메리카의 외곽 지역에서 인간의 풍경과 관계를 카메라로 응시할 때 드러나는 깊이에 관심이 있다.
서로 다른 문화의 특성 속에 담긴 마법을 드러내는 영화적 탐구에 주목하고 있다.

This is the story of a man who knows nothing but to survive, who tends to his cattle during the harsh winter. It is the story of nature coming back to life and taking revenge on those who have forgotten the old tales that warn them about dark creatures. As directors we are interested in the cinematographic exploration of the human landscape and the depths that emerge when the camera focuses on relationships in the farther zones of South America, unveiling the magic contained in the idiosyncrasies of our diﬀerent cultures.

DESCRIPTION

파타고니아의 어느 외딴 곳에서, 46세의 나자리오는 어린 양 한 마리를 자신의 집으로 데려가 그 고기와 내장을 벗겨낸다. 도살 후, 그는 죽은 양의 가죽을 강에 던진다. 흑마법이 그 가죽에 다시 생명을 불어넣고, 나자리오의 목숨이 달린 카드 게임에서 그에게 복수하도록 할 것이라는 사실을 전혀 모르는 채 말이다.

In some distant place in Patagonia, NAZARIO (46) takes a lamb to his lair, where he strips it of its meat and guts. After the butchering, he throws the animal's skin into the river, unaware that dark magic will make it reborn to take revenge in a card game, where Nazario's life will now be at stake.

Jose Tomas Urrutia Goldsack has made audiovisual pieces since 2020. He is characterized by his constant dialogue between fiction, documentary, theater, animation, and video experimentation; achieving works marked by a broad interdisciplinary sense.
한스 폰 마레스 페데Hans Von Mar

한스 본 마레스 페데(Hans Von Marées Peede)는 아이센(Aysén) 남부 지역 출신의 감독, 프로듀서, 시나리오 작가이다. 그는 창작 글쓰기를 기반으로 극영화와 논픽션의 가능성을 탐구하며, 고향의 이야기와 구전 민담을 영상 언어로 풀어내는 데 주력하고 있다.

Hans Von Marées Peede originally from the austral region of Aysén, is director, producer, and screenwriter. He focuses on creative writing and the potential oﬀered by fiction and non-fiction to tell stories and folktales of his homeland.
