수작업으로 제작한 16mm 영상과 디지털 영상을 오가며 활용함으로써 나는 가족, 영적인 분야, 그리고 생태와 관련된 주제를 탐구한다. 내 작업의 목표는 개인의 세상에 신성성과 영성이 어떤 식으로 견고히 뿌리내리고 있는지 이해하는 것이다. 한국에서 아르헨티나, 그리고 궁극적으로는 미국으로 가 정착한 이주민 성직자의 아들이라는 내 개인적 과거는 종종 내 작업의 레퍼런스가 된다.

Working in between handmade 16mm processes and digital imagery, I investigate themes of family, spirituality, and ecology. The goal of my work is to understand how the divine and spiritual are entrenched in the personal. My work is often informed by my personal history as the son of an immigrant clergyman from Korea to Argentina and eventually to the US.
