  로즈 라우더는 1941년, 페루 리마의 미라플로레스에서 출생한 프랑스 영화감독이다. 영화적 표현 수단과 관련하여 시각적 인식에 대한 연구에 집중한 라우더는 시간에 따라 변형되는 이미지의 그래픽과 사진상의 시각적 특징을 바꿀 수 있는 다양한 방법에 집중했다. 그 결과 그녀는 필름 스트립이 렌즈를 여러 번 통과하는 동안 프레임을 인터위빙하여 카메라 안에서 이미지를 구성할 수 있게 되었다. 이 작업 방식은 화면에 투사될 때 동시에 나타나도록 프레임별로 일련의 이미지를 카메라에 기록해야 하기 때문에 세심하고 복잡하다.
  
  

  Rose Lowder (born in 1941 in Miraflores, Lima, Peru) is a French filmmaker. By focusing her research on visual perception in relation to the cinematographic means of expression, Lowder concentrated on the various ways in which one can alter the graphic and photographic visual features of the images as it metamorphoses in time. As a result of this work, she became able to compose the image in the camera by interweaving the frames as the film strip passes the lens several times. This method of working is meticulous and complex because it consists of recording a series of images, frame by frame, in the camera, in order for them to appear simultaneously when projected on the screen.
